Palm Beach, FL - Helena Castilla, owner of Unique Presence, introduces a
new line of Swarovski crystal flip-flops called Soles for a Cause in
conjunction with "breast cancer awareness" month. This is the first pair
in a series of shoes that will benefit a different charity. The breast
cancer shoe is adorned with over 400 twinkling pink crystals on either a
black or white sole, and will have a small pattern of a ribbon on the
back heel. 15% of the purchase price will go directly to the National
Breast Cancer Foundation.
Castilla was inspired to create this new line when a few neighborhood
children collected donations for airfare in order to send a friend's Mom
to receive cancer treatment. Additionally, Castilla's Aunt who recently
underwent breast cancer surgery was also diagnosed with lung cancer.
Each of these events moved Castilla to create a mechanism to raise funds
for breast cancer research and awareness.
Castilla also plans another special edition shoe in support of our
troops and the fight against terrorism. This particular flip flop will
have yellow crystals, and is Castilla's personal choice. "My family was
impacted by the September 11th attack on America. I lost my Uncle on
Flight 11. This is my way to memorialize my Uncle, and all of those
lives lost on that day," says Castilla.
Each line of flip-flops will be custom designed, and created exclusively
for each individual cause. Castilla's customers may also put in their
own requests for a specially designed fundraising flip-flop.
